3M invests in new plant in Wroclaw

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – 3M, the U.S. company, will build in Wroclaw its plant of optic fibre used at LCD screens. The company will buy for PLN 10m (EUR 2.6) a new building close to its present plant. The investment will cost “some dozen million dollars” and should be launched within four years. Construction works in Wroclaw will start in the second or third quarter of 2006.

The investment will cost “some dozen million dollars” and should be launched within four years. Construction works in Wroclaw will start in the second or third quarter of 2006. 3M has decided to invest in Poland because it wanted to be possibly close to the plants of LG Philips to be located in Kobierzyce, near Wroclaw.
