Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – 19.4m passengers will have travelled through Polish airports this year.
The biggest optimists expected 19m passengers this year, or 3.5m more than in 2006. In fact, in eleven months of this year preliminary forecasts for the full year show another record: 19.4m passengers.
“Forecasts made after three quarters of this year did not reflect increase of routes in the fourth quarter. The new timetable increased possibilities of flights. Centralwings, Norwegian and Ryanair were especially active”, Tomasz Dziedzic, aviation expert at the Institute of Tourism said.
That’s why airports hope to have as many as 23m of
passengers next year.
