Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Alchemia and Skotan will reveal their plans concerning the investment in biofuels on Thursday. Alchemia stock jumped while Skotan fell yesterday.

Alchemia, the steel group cooperating with Skotan in biofuel project, jumped 15.5 percent yesterday. Both companies belong to well-known stock investor Roman Karkosik. Alchemia’s increase might be connected to the upcoming presentation of its strategy concerning a biofuel installation on Thursday.

“We will participate in 50 percent of the project. Skotan may either build the installation itself or found a target company”, Karina Wsciubiak, Alchemia’s CEO and the member of the supervisory board of Skotan.

Skotan, on the other hand, lost 2.8 percent to PLN 345 (EUR 87.6) yesterday. According to earlier data, Skotan wants to build two installations worth PLN 200m. At the end of March, its shareholders are to decide to issue shares. Alchemia has similar plans.

(PLN 1 = EUR 0.254)
