British ABF chooses Nowa Sol

Warsaw  (Puls Bizensu) – The food producer listed in London considers building its plant in Nowa Sol. Then, a German automotive company will appear in the special economic zone.

Warsaw  (Puls Bizensu) – The food producer listed in London considers building its plant in Nowa Sol. Then, a German automotive company will appear in the special economic zone.

 A new big investor has appeared in Nowa Sol, near Zielona Gora, western Poland which has recently been chosen by Funai electronics producer. The new company submitted its offer to buy 5.7 ha of land last week.

“It is a food producer listed on the LSE”, Krzysztof Dolganow, the CEO of Kostrzyn-Slubice Special Economic Zone said.

The company wants to invest EUR 10m and employ 150 people.

“There will be 250 employees at least”, Wadim Tyszkiewicz, Nowa Sol mayor added.

“It is ABF. The company will employ even 500 people. It wants to build a plant producing frozen bread”, „PB” source said.

Associated British Foods (ABF) is a group consisting of, among others, British Sugar (controls 10 percent of the sugar market in Poland), Primark and Littlewoods retailers, Allied Bakeries, International Hot Beverages, ACH and Westmill.

 

There will be one more investor in Nowa Sol soon.

“It is a German producer of casts for the automotive industry. If he chooses our zone, he will build the most modern plant in Europe. There are only six plants like this in the world”, Krzysztof Dolganow stressed.

“The company will invest EUR 40m and employ 250 people”, Wadim Tyszkiewicz said.
