Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Colliers, the international real estate agency and Warsaw Destination Alliance (group of Warsaw hotels) have prepared a draft of conference centre and stadium. The largest object in Poland would be located in Warsaw.

We want to build a conference centre for 12,000-15,000 people and a stadium for 45,000 people, Alex Kloszewski, the head of hotel department in Colliers and WDA managing director said.

A museum, design centre and shopping moll could be located in the object.

The ideas will be presented to municipal authorities and the Ministry of Sport.

On February 15th, we will present our final ideas, Alex Kloszewski said.

A month later, Tomasz Lipiec, the Minister of Sport, must present UEFA Polish stadiums. Colliers and WDA believe that it would be best to found a stock company. The city would have a 35 percent stake in it. The project would be financed via bonds issued by the city. The rest would be covered by local authorities and EU funds. The operator of the stadium would also have its share in the capital.

Costs of building conference centre amount to EUR 250m. The stadium will cost EUR 120m without a roof and EUR 240 with a roof and AC, Alex Kloszewski explained.

Construction works could be launched in 2006 and last 45 months.
