Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Carlsberg, the Danish brewery, is going to launch a financial services center in Poznan, western Poland. 70 people will be employed there.

Carlsberg will have its financial center in Poznan. The company started recruiting several weeks ago. Since November, the center will service the Polish units of Carlsberg and since March 2007, the German ones.

“We are employing 70 people. The decision to move financial services from Germany to Poland will generate PLN 15m (EUR 3.8m) of savings within 5 years”, Jacek Michalak, the CEO of the Poznan center said.

The brewery has a similar center in Denmark. It works for Denmark and Sweden. The Polish company may render services for other countries in the future.

“The office we are going to rent is big enough but we don’t have and detailed plans as yet. We will evaluate the situation within a year and decide whether to move to Poznan financial services from other countries”, Jacek Michalak said.
