It would seem that Poznań city authorities will accept a privatisation agreement with the French Dalkia Termika on the sale of a 51 percent stake in the local heating company.
Representatives of certain elements of the local business community as well as trade unions at the plant are asking councillors to vote against the sale. However pulling out of the deal now would cost the city PLN161.8m and thus the loss of many municipal projects including new trams. In order to put minds at ease Dalkia Termika has promised that it will continue to give the city a say in running the plant. The CHP needs the PLN90m that the French will pump in to pay off PLN70m in debts.© ℗
