Constar scandal meat plant re-launches production

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – After 10-day break caused by a scandalous report published by TVN television and ‘Rzeczpospolita’ daily, which revealed that bad meat was being used to produce sausages in Constar plant, a part of Animex group, the plant re-launched production yesterday.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – After 10-day break caused by a scandalous report published by TVN television and ‘Rzeczpospolita’ daily, which revealed that bad meat was being used to produce sausages in Constar plant, a part of Animex group, the plant re-launched production yesterday.

‘The decision was made by the region veterinary doctor’, Constar board said in an announcement. The vet doctor said that the plant improved its ways. The plant regained all its certificates.

Retailers and not sure that Constar will be successful. ‘We do not sell Constar products and we will not in the near future. We want to watch the market and Constar’s actions to regain consumers’ trust’, Wojciech Sokol, Tesco spokesman said. ‘We do not want to withdraw Constar brand. We are currently working intensely to prepare marketing campaign’, Lidia Zalewska, Animex spokesperson answered.Poland/Enterprises/Food
