Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Euroterminal in Slawkowo worth PLN 60m (EUR 15.9m) is being built.
Construction works of the international logistic center (MCL) were officially launched today. CZH in Katowice is the operator of the terminal. This is a key investment project for Silesia region. Thanks to the terminal, goods from Asia will get to Poland on wider railways used in Russia.
“Preparations took several years but finally we have managed to raise funds for the project”, Marian Bak, CZH CEO said.
The costs of the project amount to PLN 60m. Over half of the amount will be provided by CZH, PLN 11m will come from the state, there will also be EU funds spent for the terminal.
“Storages will be ready till the end of December, and the next buildings will be ready in fall next year”, CZH CEO said.
MCL will be situated on an area of 40ha included into Katowice special economic zone. At the end of June, CZH management signed agreement with Skanska to build the storage and modernize the infrastructure. This project is worth PLN 25m. Till the end of July, the tender for remaining works will be announced. Last year, CZH had PLN 4m of net income and PLN 250m of sales. In the first half of this year, it raised PLN 8m.
