Eight consecutive day of records for MIDWIG index

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index added just 0.4 percent to 2,693.75 points on Thursday. However, the index of medium-sized companies, MIDWIG, ended at 2,217.55, its new all-time record. This index has been hitting new records for the last eight sessions. Increases may continue next year. MIDWIG has added 8.75 percent in December and 28 percent in 2005.

PKN Orlen fuel giant was the best performer among giants. Shares rose over 2 percent. Other fuel companies: Lotos and MOL also ended up. BZ WBK bank and Netia telecom fell more than the main index.
