Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Elzbieta Sjoblom, mother of  Maciej Niebrzydowski well-known investor, has over 5 percent of Elektrim shares.

Maciej Niebrzydowski told “PB” in June that he would do that and he kept to his promises. Elzbieta Sjoblom has 3.94m shares of Elektrim plus 260,000 shares via Park Bronisze. It gives 5.01 percent of the capital. In fact, Maciej Niebrzydowski may have even bigger influence on the company. Before, Stormm, a company owned in 33 percent by Elzbieta Sjoblom bought Elektrim shares, so did Mostostal-Export-Dom.

Maciej Niebrzydowski told “PB” in June that Elektrim stock may be valued in three-digit numbers as early as this year. If the worst scenario happens, i.e. Elektrim loses its stake in PTC mobile operator and the payback of its investment in PAK energy company consists only in refunding the actual spending over last years, the stock would be worth at least PLN 45 (EUR 11.9). He said that unless he managed to buy Elektrim shares from Vivendi, he would buy them on the stock exchange. So he did yesterday despite recent turmoil, including bankruptcy proceeding, Vivendi’s allegations that PLN 12 billion of assets evaporated from Elektrim and the company’s management application to withdraw the stock from the stock exchange (which was refused by the WSE).

The news spread yesterday. At 1.30 p.m. the stock started to soar to end at PLN 6.37, or 5.29 percent higher while shares worth PLN 15.17m changed hands.

(PLN 1 = EUR 0.265)
