Grespania Polska, a subsidiary of Spanish developer and producer of construction materials, has decided to strengthen its position in Poland. It today has 80 trade partners.

“We want to have 250 distributors. We expect to get 80 new partners annually”, Jacek Smolik, Grespania Polska director said.

The company wants to have most clients in Mazowsze and Slask regions.

“In Poland, we sell luxury goods. The majority of them cost PLN 120-140. We want to get up to 10 percent of the ceramic tiles market within 2-3 years”, the director added.

The leaders – Grupa Opoczno and Cersanit – have 23 and 13 percent shares respectively.

 

The company is building its plant in Piotrkow Trybunalski.

“We are going to launch it in the third quarter of 2007. The investment is worth PLN 10m (EUR 2.5m) and is financed by the Spanish owner”, Jacek Smolik said.

He added that the Polish subsidiary plans to have PLN 50m of sales annually.
