Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – GTS Energis is in the final stage of its consolidation. The company would welcome another acquisition, the problem is that there are no companies for sale, so GTS plans organic growth.

GTS Energis, which was founded in October 2005 when GTS bought 97.5 percent in Energis Polska, is finalizing its consolidation. The process should be ended in the first half of this year.

“Till spring we will be focused on integration and changes inside the company. Then, we will be ready for further acquisitions”, Tomasz Galas, GTS Energis deputy CEO said.

The problem is that there are no companies to become targets. It tried to buy Exatel, Netia and Telefonia Dialog. None of these is up for sale.

Therefore, for the time being, the company will focus on the organic growth. GTS Energis wants to have PLN 70m (EUR 18.3m) of EBITDA  against over PLN 400m of sales. Last year, the operator had PLN 52.8m EBITDA against PLN 367m of sales. The company will spend PLN 50m for investment.

“Data transmission and internet access will boost growth this year. But the structure of sales will not change – voice services will still be basic”, Jaroslaw Mikos, GTS Energis CEO said.

In the consolidation process, about 100 people were fired and now the employment amounts to 400 workers. GTS Energis spent PLN 7.7m for the merger, mainly for severance payments.

“We are a proof that consolidation makes sense. Thanks to the merger we will save PLN 29m in 2006”, Jaroslaw Mikos said.
