Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Komfort, the retailer of carpets and floor boards, has started preparations for listing. It wants to raise PLN 60m (EUR 15.9m) and invest to strengthen its network.

14 years since the company was launched, Komfort’s management plans the company to be listed.

“The provision is to raise funds for further expansion although present owners may sell a stake. Decision will be made along with the development strategy. The decision of our investment advisor, which we are currently choosing, will be vital here”, Jerzy Szkwarek, Komfort deputy CEO said.

The Komfort group consists of Komfort shops selling carpets and floor boards, and companies dealing with construction and interiors, including Invest Komfort and Porta KMI Poland. In the first stage, Komfort wants to raise PLN 60m in the stock exchange.

“The issue will consist of two stages. In the first phase, we want to raise PLN 60m to build 25-30 shops within two years”, Jerzy Szkwarek explained.

In 2005, the group had PLN 330m of sales and PLN 16m of net income. In 2004, sales amounted to PLN 320m and net income to PLN 18.5m.
