MAN invests EUR 90-100m in truck plant

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – MAN, Europe’s leading truck producer from Germany, said it would build its plant in Niepolomice, close to Krakow, southern Poland. The plant will be worth EUR 90-100m. It will employ 650 people in the beginning and 2,000 within two years since its launching in the middle of 2007. Construction works are to start this fall.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – MAN, Europe’s leading truck producer from Germany, said it would build its plant in Niepolomice, close to Krakow, southern Poland. The plant will be worth EUR 90-100m. It will employ 650 people in the beginning and 2,000 within two years since its launching in the middle of 2007. Construction works are to start this fall. Thanks to the investment, about 10,000 jobs will be created by MAN and its deliverers.

Another site considered by MAN was Koszyce in Slovakia. Poland won thanks to several elements, including financial subsidy, regional help and workforce offer. The Polish government prepared and accepted an offer for MAN within 19 days. There is another motor investment pending in Poland: Volvo is considering to build its bus plant there. The government is preparing its offer for the producer.
