Metro Group plans to invest EUR 100m in 2006

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Metro Group, the German retailer present in Poland for 10 years now, is going to invest EUR 100m in 2006. The funds will be spent to launch 10-15 new outlets and current renovation works. The company owns Real (food), Media Markt and Saturn (RTV, home appliances), Praktiker (do it yourself) and Makro Cash & Carry (gross selelr).

The funds will be spent to launch 10-15 new outlets and current renovation works. The company owns Real (food), Media Markt and Saturn (RTV, home appliances), Praktiker (do it yourself) and Makro Cash & Carry (gross selelr).

In 2005, the company is going to launch 10 new shops. Metro has 94 objects in Poland, including 21 Makro Cash & Carry, 28 Real, 26 Media Markt, 2 Saturn and 17 Praktiker shops. In 2004, its sales amounted to EUR 2.74 billion.
