The Ministry of Education is buying for its officials computers without monitors.
There is yet another curiosity at the Ministry of Education. At the end of July, the ministry concluded a tender procurement to buy computers for its officials. The tender was divided into seven parts: to buy computers, monitors, servers, printers, notebooks and additional equipment. The part to buy monitors was cancelled because no company submitted its offer. In result, the ministry will buy new computers without monitors.
This is relatively small tender. The equipment costs about PLN 500,000 (EUR 132,500). However, the history of the tender, goes back to 2006. Specialists stress that in public procurement the whole PC sets (computer plus monitor) are usually bought. It makes no sense to divide the tender. Maybe this is the reason why the Ministry of Education refused to comment.© ℗
