Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Japanese car producer was the 20. biggest car seller in Poland last year but is losing the positions this year. A Polish manager, first in the history, is supposed to change this trend.

Arkadiusz Tomala is the first Pole to become Mitshubishi’s head in Poland.

“We want to increase sales from 2,000 to 3,000-5,000 vehicles a year. Our market share would grow form 1 to 2-3 percent”, Arkadiusz Tomala, the managing director of MMC Car Poland, the importer of Mitsubishi cars said.

This year’s plans are much more modest. The company is going to repeat its 2005 result when it sold 2,164 cars.

The company is going to develop its sales chain, which today consists of 27 dealers, 3 independent service garages and four sales points.

“The dealers must apply to the new requirements concerning their sales offices till 2007. New outlets are being launched in Szczecin and Tychy. We are also thinking about Czestochowa. Due to weak sales in Poland the dealers must conduct more active marketing and promote the brand”, Arkadiusz Tomala said.
