Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Due to Poland’s EU accession, food companies may apply for many EU funds. One of them, allowing for subsidy amounting up to 80 percent of expenditures, is the fund for marketing and information campaigns of food products. “Several offers have been submitted so far.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Due to Poland’s EU accession, food companies may apply for many EU funds. One of them, allowing for subsidy amounting up to 80 percent of expenditures, is the fund for marketing and information campaigns of food products. “Several offers have been submitted so far. We expect there will be more soon because the fall period of offers submission is upcoming”, Piotr Kondraciuk, the head of the food promotion and subsidy in the Agricultural Market Agency (ARP) said.

In fact, only three applications have been submitted. One of them has already been accepted, another will soon be accepted by the European Commission. The first application has been submitted by the Agricultural Market Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture. Thanks to EU funds, they will conduct a PLN 6m (EUR 1.5m) worth campaign promoting EU sings of traditional and regional food products both among producers and consumers. The second application has been submitted by the National Union of Juice Producers (KUPS). It plans a PLN 7m promotion campaign of carrot juices in Romania and Bulgaria.(PLN 1 = EUR 0.257)
