Poland: Indices keep growing for the seventh consecutive day

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Tuesday was the seventh consecutive day of indices growth. Shares of WIG20 companies worth PLN 617m (EUR 151.8m) changed hands, up from PLN 425m noted today. Shares of all companies worth PLN 853m changed hands today (this year’s record amounted to PLN 1.2 billion and was reached on February 25th). WIG20 ended the day at 2,269.56, or 2.08 percent higher.

Shares of all companies worth PLN 853m changed hands today (this year’s record amounted to PLN 1.2 billion and was reached on February 25th). WIG20 ended the day at 2,269.56, or 2.08 percent higher.

KGHM copper producer added 3.7 percent and achieved their new record of PLN 39.5. PKN Orlen fuel giant also improved its all-time record today. TPSA telecom gained 2.2 percent and exceeded its February record. Pekao S.A. was the best of banks. Kety metals company was the best performer among WIG20 companies – it jumped 6.2 percent after second quarter results were published. GTC construction company exceeded its all-time record.
