Poland: Kety package producer wants to invest PLN 550-700 m

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Grupa Kety, Poland’s listed aluminium packages producer, has launched its new plant in Tychy, southern Poland. The investment was worth PLN 20 m (EUR 4.9 m) but it implements a modern printing technology, which will be used at packages for cereals, seasonings, hygienic and chemical products.

The investment was worth PLN 20 m (EUR 4.9 m) but it implements a modern printing technology, which will be used at packages for cereals, seasonings, hygienic and chemical products. ‘Our offer will be more competitive’, Jan Kryjak, Kety CEO said.

This year, Grupa Kety plans to increase net income to PLN 102 m from PLN 92 m it estimates it had in 2004, against sales of, respectively, PLN 841 m and PLN 730 m. Until the year 2009, the company will spend PLN 550-700 m on investment, and within five years PLN 200-250 m on organic growth. Grupa Kety plans acquisitions in the region. It is presently negotiating a capital investment in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
