Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Kamco, the Korean governmental entity dealing with debts collecting, wrote a letter last week to the Treasury Ministry and FSO car plant demanding repayment of debts of the Polish factory. Kamco claims that FSO owes USD 570 million (EUR 418.1 million). Allegedly, the conversion of debts into shares of Daewoo Motor (DWMC) conducted last year was not legal because the Polish company owes money to the British Daewoo UK. ‘We want to independent auditors to check books of FSO and evaluate to what extent the Polish company owed money to Daewoo Motor and how much to Daewoo UK. We have 283 invoices from Daewoo UK, which FSO failed to pay’, Thomas Kolaja, the CEO of CII Group representing Kamco and Daewoo UK in Poland.
