Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The authorities of Poland’s capital have decided to build a national stadium. It will cover a surface of 11 ha. A tender, ending in Spring, has been prepared for the design of the stadium.
Warsaw authorities want to spend PLN 200 million (EUR 46.4 million) for the project. This is the price of an open stadium. A stadium with a roof would be by 50 percent more expensive. If this option is chosen, a private investor will be necessary. Besides, a public-private partnership will help build commercial part of the stadium.
‘The roofed version is more profitable from the economic point of view. It could be used not only in play-off season’, Barry Winterton from Muff McDonald said, a company which took part in the construction of Wembley stadium.
