Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Till mid-June Poland wants to settle down how it will cooperate with Norway in gas projects.

Piotr Wozniak, the Minister of Economy, is sure that Poland will soon be able to buy Norwegian gas transported to Poland via a pipe on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The final decision will be made in autumn when final declarations will be made by the members of the consortium which will build the pipe in Norway and Sweden.

“Till mid-June we are to settle the framework of the cooperation with Norwegians. An investment agreement, a transmission agreement and the agreement for selling the gas will have to be signed. In fall we will know whether we will join the consortium of 18 companies cooperating with Gassco, the Norwegian state-owned enterprise managing the gas transmission system. PGNiG may invest in the projects”, Piotr Wozniak said.

In this case, PGNiG, Poland’s listed gas monopoly, could become a co-owner of the pipeline.
