Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Next year, Era wants to  become number one on the Polish mobile market. Earlier, it may change its name into T-Mobile.

Klaus Hartmann, CEO of Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), the operator of Era and Heyah, promises that his company will fight for the first place among mobile operators. It wants to have the highest revenues.

“I hope that we will reach this goal in 2009 at the latest”, Klaus Hartmann said.

Before, the company may be rebranded. Hamid Akhaman, T-Mobile CEO, believed it could happen this year.

In 2007, Era spend 15 percent of sales for investments. This was about PLN 1.1bn (EUR 304.7m). The majority was spent to develop 3G network. This year, the level should be similar.

(PLN 1 = EUR 0.277)
