Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Lodz special economic zone expects PLN 2.3 billion (EUR 588.8m) of investment projects. P&G is building a new plant, Sanitec Kolo develops its facility.

Procter&Gamble, TPV and their subcontractors, Sanitec Kolo and several smaller companies – the Lodz special economic zone is supposed to grow by 180 ha for these projects.

“We have to conclude negotiations. The changes would come into force at the end of this quarter or at the beginning of April. The changes provide for increasing the areas of the zone in Kutno and Radomsko where we have no investors yet and several changes for specific projects”, Marek Cieslak, LSSE CEO said.

P&G wants to build a cosmetics plant in Aleksandrow Lodzki.

“After 15 years of experience in Poland, we are considering to build a new plant here. It would cost EUR 40m and employ 200 people. We have submitted a letter of intent”, Malgorzata Mejer from P&G said.

Last year, the company has already decided to spend EUR 40m to develop its diaper plant in Warsaw. ColepCCL Polska, the package producer whose clients include P&G, Gillette (owned by P&G), and others, may spend up to PLN 120m within five years.

Sanitec Kolo, the producer of sanitary ware and furniture, plans another project in Wloclawek. The company wants to invest PLN 80m and employ 180 new workers.
