PTC notes PLN 6.4 billion of sales in 2004

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), the operator of mobile telecoms Era and Heyah, the reason of clash between Elektrim and Vivendi, had PLN 6.4 billion (EUR 1.6 billion) of sales in 2004, or 14 percent more than in 2003. Net income grew to PLN 1 billion from PLN 650 m, and EBITDA increased to PLN 2.8 billion from PLN 2.1 billion a year earlier.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), the operator of mobile telecoms Era and Heyah, the reason of clash between Elektrim and Vivendi, had PLN 6.4 billion (EUR 1.6 billion) of sales in 2004, or 14 percent more than in 2003. Net income grew to PLN 1 billion from PLN 650 m, and EBITDA increased to PLN 2.8 billion from PLN 2.1 billion a year earlier. The company invested over PLN 900 m, and this year they should be similar.

‘We have the best results in the history of Polish mobile telecoms’, Boguslaw Kulakowski, the CEO of the previous management in PTC commented. The company added 2.4 m clients and at the end of December had 8.6 m of them. Rival Polkomtel and Centertel had, respectively, 7 m and 7.4 m. PTC managed to decrease its debt by PLN 1.7 billion to PLN 2.2 billion. This year, PTC is going to have 1 m more clients.
