Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Poland’s road and motor-way authorities GDDKiA announced another tender for the construction of motor-way in southern Poland worth EUR 397.4m. The investment on the road from Zakopane may finally be fastened.

On Tuesday, GDDKiA announced a tender to build a 50 km motor-way line from Zgorzelec (Goerlitz) to Krzyzowa. The project is estimated at EUR 307.4m. EUR 252m will be covered from the Cohesive Fund. The contract should be finished in December 2007.

“At the end of January, we plan to open offers to build the road around Lubien. Unless there are protests, the investment could be launched in spring”, Magdalena Chacaga, the spokesperson of the GDDKiA unit in Krakow said.

Offers will be opened on January 23rd. Invitations were sent to the following companies: Berger Bau of Germany, Polish-Austrian consortium of Strabag, Swedish-Polish consortium of NCC and PDiM Tarnow, German-Polish Herman Kirchner and Mosty Lodz, Portuguese Mota-Engil, Skanska Poska and Budimex Dromex.
