Saia-Burgess invests PLN 1.4m, employs 400 people

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Saia-Burgess, a transnational corporation with headquarters in Switzerland, is launching activity in the special economic zone in Katowice (KSSE), southern Poland. The company will build a plant constructing engines for home and appliances producers. In 2007, 400 people should work in the factory. The value of the investment amounts to PLN 1.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Saia-Burgess, a transnational corporation with headquarters in Switzerland, is launching activity in the special economic zone in Katowice (KSSE), southern Poland. The company will build a plant constructing engines for home and appliances producers. In 2007, 400 people should work in the factory. The value of the investment amounts to PLN 1.4m (EUR 357,000).

The investor has already received a permission to start activity in the zone. It is going to be one of the biggest plants of Saia-Burgess in Europe, Justyna Romanczyk from KSSE said.The investor will lease a building from Galia, hence low value of investment. This year, 16 companies have decided to invest in KSSE. They will invest nearly PLN 600m and create 2,500 new jobs.(PLN 1 = EUR 0.255)
