Sanitec bathroom solutions provider increases investment in Kolo

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Sanitec wants to invest PLN 100m (EUR 26.4m) in its plant in Kolo to double capacity and increase employment by 25 percent.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Sanitec wants to invest PLN 100m (EUR 26.4m) in its plant in Kolo to double capacity and increase employment by 25 percent.

Lenart Sunden, the CEO of Sanitec Corporation, confirmed “PB” news that the company would build a new plant of bathroom products.

“This is the major project of the group this year. The investment will allow the Kolo plant to double capacity to 2m items a year. The facility will be launched in the second quarter of 2007”, Lenart Sunden said.

The plant in Kolo was included into the Lodz Special Economic Zone. Its PLN 100m investment will be supported with PLN 36m of public subsidy. In the project, there will be 250 more new jobs. Today, Sanitec employs 1,100 people in Poland and 7,000 in the whole Europe.

Last year, Sanitec Kolo had PLN 393.3m of sales.
