Poland: Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), the Polish mobile operator of Era and Heyah, has signed a framework agreement to build UMTS network with Siemens and Ericsson. The first cities to have the network will be Warsaw, Lodz, and Wroclaw. Siemens will be responsible for the equipment in Wroclaw and Warsaw while Ericsson in Lodz.

Then, network will be built in Krakow and Katowice. The programme provides for launching UMTS services in Poznan, Lublin, Trojmiasto, Szczecin, Torun and Bydgoszcz.
