Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Shareholders of blue chips were not active on Wednesday while companies susceptible to speculations were in  the focus of investors.

WIG20 lost 0.73 percent to 3,714.93 points today. These developments were accompanied by lower trade which amounted to PLN 995m, or 25 percent less then on Tuesday. It would have been even worse, hadn’t it been for a series of transactions made by funds. Big stakes of Pekao, PKO BP, TP, KGHM or BZ WBK changed hands. Nine smaller blue chips on the other hand attracted trade which did not exceed PLN 10m.

Numerous small caps susceptible to speculative capital jumped and dived today. Hawe, which had jumped 270 percent since Thursday till Tuesday, lost 19 percent. Midas and Krezus which yesterday were rising, today lost 11.1 and 13.3 percent respectively. Karen Notebook jumped 35.7 percent in the last hour of trading. Another computer company was doing great today as well. Optimus added nearly 25 percent without any obvious reason.
