Stocks take a bashing

Stocks took a bad knock yesterday as the pessimism from markets across the globe infected Warsaw. Analysts believe that unless interest rates are not brought down quickly and global trends do not improve then there is nothing to hope for on the domestic stock market. Since last Friday the WIG20 has lost seven percent and yesterday it was down 2.4 percent on the day. High tech stock did even worse noting a 3.1 percent fall. A decision on interest rates could be made at the monetary council meeting on 27 - 28 February.
