Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On January 1st, the internet company data base was supposed to be launched. The Ministry of Justice assures that there will be no delays.

On January 1st 2007, the amendment to the law on the National Court Register (KRS) comes into force. It provides for the possibility to register companies electronically. The access to data about registered companies would be possible by e-mail as well. This would make the job of entrepreneurs much easier. The Ministry of Justice (MS) must before modernize its IT systems and found an electronic catalogue of documents. However, the tender which has been going on for several months, is still in its preliminary stage. The winner will not make it before the end of this year. The project is also part of EU directives.

“MS has taken measures to implement the services in the basic range independently from the tender which is going on”, the press unit of MS said in a statement.

What measures remains secret. However the full service may be launched in the second half of next year – first the tender must be concluded, then the contract signed, the project implemented and tests made.

Three companies fight for this contract, including Aram (from Computerland group), Unizeto with Panstwowa Wytwornia Papierow Wartosciowych and Comarch. The project is worth PLN 3.35m (EUR 874,350). It should register 750,000 documents annually. The first tender was announced before holiday.
