Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Ministry of the Treasure wants an EGSM to be held to discuss the reports about PZU sent to Eureko.

On Friday, Pawel Szalamacha, the deputy Minister of the Treasure asked for an EGSM of PZU, Poland’s biggest insurer. This is a reaction to the decision of the supervisory board which on September 26th agreed to hire an independent audit company to see what kind of data had been sent to Eureko, the minority shareholder of PZU. The internal control was unfavorable to the Dutch company and proved that the data was not necessary for Eureko’s financial reports as the company stated.

The EGSM will cover the following points: the management’s opinion concerning transmitting data to Eureko and the withdrawal of the approval for the former management, which would be a punishment for transferring data to the investor. PZU will discuss the application from the Ministry tomorrow.
