Vistula & Wolcznka (V&W) is scanning the market looking for acquisition targets. There are not only Polish firms considered.

“There are several entities in Europe which are on our short list”, Rafal Bauer, V&W CEO said.

The management considers to develop its retail distribution but gives no details.
 
V&W has recently signed agreement with NFI Empik Media & Fashion worth PLN 10m (EUR 2.6m) to buy 100 percent of Galeria Centrum (GC), the shopping mall chain. This year, V&W plans to launch four GC malls.

Moreover, the company develops its own network. It wants to launch 200 shops till the end of the year, up from 170 today.

In 2006, V&W had PLN 128.4m of sales, or 34 percent more than in 2005. The stock traded yesterday at PLN 97, or 1.04 percent higher.
