Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The indices kept rising and falling on the last session this week. MIDWIG was the only one to hit new record.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The indices kept rising and falling on the last session this week. MIDWIG was the only one to hit new record.

 

WIG20 started the day with increases, then fell, rebounded and finally ended down dragged down by KGHM. The copper producer lost 4.9 percent to PLN 88. The company was the worst performer among blue chips this week. Copper prices have fallen 12 percent since the beginning of the year. WIG20 dropped 0.73 percent. However, the volume of trade, which amounted to over PLN 1 billion, was 18 percent lower than yesterday when the records were hit.

 

BRE Bank was the best performer among blue chips. The stock jumped 16.1 percent. Polimex-Mostostal gained 12.2 percent this week. It traded at PLN 200 during the day, the highest level ever. A consortium where Polimex is one of the partners has won a public tender to build a section of A-4 motorway worth PLN 275m.
