Warsaw indices grow along with US markets

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Main indices on the Warsaw Stock Exchange added today along with world markets. Analysts believe that the situation in upcoming days will heavily depend on what’s going on abroad.


The WIG20 index rose 0.82 percent to 3,470.49 points while WIG grew 0.89 percent to 58,692.07 points. The volume of trade was low. Shares worth PLN 1.105 billion changed hands.


On Monday, the US markets ended up. In result, Asian markets were gaining today and European stock exchanges opened up. The political situation in Poland does not influence the market at all, analysts say.


KGHM copper producer dropped after Kompania Weglowa coal group CEO said that the company is going to sell its 2.5 percent stake at KGHM. Nevertheless, the copper conglomerate closed 1.76 percent up.
