WIG beats its record by 0.25 percent

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG, the oldest on the Warsaw Stock Exchange indices, rose to a new record of 45,894.89 points. WIG20 ended unchanged while MIDWIG and WIRR, the indices of small and mid-caps grew 0.6 percent.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG, the oldest on the Warsaw Stock Exchange indices, rose to a new record of 45,894.89 points. WIG20 ended unchanged while MIDWIG and WIRR, the indices of small and mid-caps grew 0.6 percent.

Banks were among the best performers today. Out of seven WIG20 companies which ended up, four are banks. BZ WBK grew 2 percent, Bank BPH a little bit less while Pekao 1.2 percent. PKO BP, the largest Polish bank also rose today. BRE Bank, the fifth of all banks present in the index, did not manage to grow but resisted the decrease.
