WIG20 and WIRR rise to their new records

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index hit its Tuesday record by 11.48 points and ended at 3,406.92 points on Thursday when it gained 0.95 percent after Wednesday fall. WIG, the general index, ended at 52,523.75 points, or 31.8 points below its record as of December 5th. MIDWIG gained 0.61 percent, WIRR rose 0.8 percent to 13,450.16 points.

WIG, the general index, ended at 52,523.75 points, or 31.8 points below its record as of December 5th. MIDWIG gained 0.61 percent, WIRR rose 0.8 percent to 13,450.16 points.

Out of blue chips, the middle-sized ones were most eagerly acquired. Orbis travel group rose to its new all time record of PLN 64.5. Bioton insulin producer gained 3.8 percent while shares worth PLN 70m changed hands. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 821m changed hands. PKO BP gained 2.9 percent while PKN Orlen and TP telecom ended down. KGHM copper producer ended unchanged.
