WIG20 index stays flat the sixth consecutive day

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index dropped 0.24 percent to 2,556.23 on Tuesday. It has been remaining in the narrow range of 2,532-2,586 points for six days already. MIDWIG, the index of medium-sized companies, reached its new all-time record of 2,092.57 points.

What is going to happen with the blue chips index depends much on tomorrow’s payments level and Thursday’s employment data. Unless the data cause upwards or downwards moves, one may expect no changes till January.Among WIG20 companies, Prokom IT firm continued rises started yesterday. The company was the best performer among blue chips and gained 1.5 percent. KGHM copper producer reached their new all-time record of PLN 57.6 (EUR 15.1) a share. The company is rising thanks to high copper prices, and expected dividend.Among small companies, Capital Partners is still traded eagerly by speculative capital. On Monday, it jumped 21 percent, on Tuesday 28 percent. Prochnik clothes producer gave up its plans to buy Deni Cler owned by W.Kruk. Prochnik lost 4.2 percent. Toora Poland had a good public offer. Rights rose 7.6 percent.
