WIG20 loses 2 percent this week

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Friday, the WIG20 index lost 0.03 percent. It did not follow either Western European exchanges which gained 0.6-1 percent or BUX which fell 1.8 percent. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 352m (EUR 87.6m) changed hands. Within last week, WIG20 fell 2.03 percent, four times more than in the previous week.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Friday, the WIG20 index lost 0.03 percent. It did not follow either Western European exchanges which gained 0.6-1 percent or BUX which fell 1.8 percent. Shares of blue chips worth PLN 352m (EUR 87.6m) changed hands. Within last week, WIG20 fell 2.03 percent, four times more than in the previous week.

Today, PKO BP bank drew most attention. Shares worth PLN 80m changed hands, and gained 0.3 percent although during the day the increase amounted even to over 1 percent. Pekao SA bank ended the day 1 percent lower. PKN Orlen and TPSA ended worse than the market. Among smaller companies, Opoczno tiles producer shed 5.5 percent after Pioneer Pekao IM cut its stake in the company to 4.86 percent. Polcolorit rose nearly 4 percent after its CEO bought 44,000 shares at PLN 2.39 a share.
