Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Warsaw indices jumped on Wednesday after yesterday's losses

The WIG20 index managed to exceed the level of 3,200.47 points after it ended 2.3 percent up. Shares worth PLN 1.73 billion changed hands. WIG and MIDWIG rose to their new all-time records.

Banks were among the best performes among blue chips rebounding after a weak day yesterday. Pekao and PKO BP which were the worst performers among banks on Tuesday, today rose 1.9 and 3.93 percent respectively. The banks face further increases tomorrow when Bank Millennium publishes its third quarter results, the first bank to present the last quarter. Fuel companies paced the advances as well thanks to higher oil prices. KGHM copper producer grew over 2 percent. Bioton, TVN, Cersanit, Boryszew, Netia and GTC were also doing very well.

Small and mid-caps attracted big trade as well. The best performers among them include Ampla, WSiP, IDM.PL, Ferrum and Lentex. On the other hand, PEP, Strzelec and Energopol fell.
