WIG20 rises 1.3 percent thanks to foreign investors Warsaw

(Puls Biznesu)–The WIG20 index ended up 1.3 percent at 1,935.65.

(Puls Biznesu)–The WIG20 index ended up 1.3 percent at 1,935.65.

This week, the index has grown 3.4 percent. A growing trend may continue next week. Since its low level of 1,807.7 as of January 24th, the WIG20 has already added 7.08 percent. The heigth of January 3rd, 1,966.7 points may soon be improved. The bourse has only to grow another 1.6 percent.

Investors are very much interested in shares of the largest companies.

On Friday, foreign investors eagerly bought TPSA telecom. Shares worth PLN 156 m (EUR 39.1 m) changed hands. The telecom gained 3.5 percent to the highest level in the last 42 months. PKO BP bank and PKN Orlen fuel company were also in the focus of attention. Shares worth PLN 70 m of both companies changed hands.
