Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – After the WSE had ended down on Wednesday while US markets closed up, investors expected the WIG20 to open higher. However, the index dived in the morning and ended 1.55 percent down.
Financial sector was doing poorly with BRE Bank falling 3.1 percent for the worst performer. Some exporters were adversely affected by appreciating zloty. Cersanit shed 2.67 percent despite the news that it is going to build a new plant. Polnord continued the downward trend. KGHM copper producer was raising all day long thanks to KBC Securities ‘buy’ recommendation but ended 0.2 percent down.
sWIG80 fell below 10,000 points and ended 0.68 percent for the smallest decrease among all main WSE indices. mWIG40 shed 1.09 percent and dropped below 2,500 points. Grajewo fell 3.5 percent yesterday and 16.42 percent in the last five sessions.
