Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Main Warsaw Stock Exchange indices were losing on Monday despite the fact that the WIG20 index opened up. Analysts believe that the market will wait for the ECB’s decision concerning interest rates.

The volume of trade was very low. Investors may again become more active when the WIG20 index gets close to 2,400-2,500 points. Before it happens, however, the index may fall to 2,550-2,570 points. Important news for the market will be ECB’s decision concerning interest rates. They may be raised by 25 base points.

The WIG20 index ended 0.3 percent down at 2,591.09 points. WIG shed 0.55 percent to 41,146.26 points. Shares worth PLN 1.15bn changed hands.
