Auto sales falling further
Last month car sales at 31,000 were 8,000 down on January 2000. However it is not bad for all. Skoda seems to have found its niche being the third best selling manufacturer in this country and selling 1,500 cars more last month than it did in January 2000. Fiat, on the other hand, only managed 8,800 as compared to 14,000 last year — worse even than Daewoo who noted a fall of around 20 percent.
