Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Action’s CEO forecasts that IT distributors will consolidate. He adds that his company mustn’t miss the great opportunity for acquisitions.

Action, one of the biggest IT distributors in Poland, and a PC producer, a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, is going to sign a letter of intent with another big company concerning merger or acquisition.

“Unless this happens, we won’t focus on consolidation this year because we will have to focus on our business”, Piotr Bielinski, Action CEO and main shareholder said.

The company has been talking about acquisitions for a long time. ABC Data was enumerated as a possible target but Mr. Bielinski says it’s no longer on the agenda. He adds that the company won’t try to buy a rival at any price.

“Consolidation would be good for our company. As it has happened in other countries, only 2-3 players may survive in Poland. The market is too scattered. We mustn’t miss a good opportunity for acquisitions”, Action head said.
