Ahold Polska, a part of the Dutch retail empire Royal Ahold, has announced that it is to invest around PLN500m in the next two years in Albert supermarkets and Hypernova hypermarkets. These investments will be financed by funds from the Dutch HQ of the company. At the end of this year there will be 145 Albert supermarkets and 15 Hypernova hypermarkets in this country. The company states that it intends to build 25 supermarkets and 10 to 12 hypermarkets each year for the next three years.
