Bad start to the week
The markets showed little enthusiasm on Monday's opening and dropped slightly. Later into the day the losses intensified with IT companies bearing the brunt of the losses following their fate on American markets on Friday. The banks slid down with the IT companies which many analysts described as being due to prices being too high forcing investors to profit take in an uncertain market.
